Deadline Notice: Students must be mindful that bar exam registration deadlines vary from state to state. Please check the deadline for the state of the office in which you are interested as well as the timing of the award of the applicable funding source. Because some of the bar registration deadlines are very early in the spring semester, several schools have agreed to make early funding decisions of existing fellowship/grant opportunities for students seeking participation in this initiative. On top of the usual challenges facing public defenders in better resourced systems, our partner offices are working to raise the standard of representation in particularly resource-challenged environments.
